# SummitAI is now Apex Aspen: 2 renames, and still no published price

*What SymphonyAI’s own pages said about its ITSM line in September 2026, set against 18 products in TechBag’s ITSM guide by price, ITIL depth and India hosting.*

Note · AI in the enterprise · By TechBag · Published 2025-01-28 · Facts checked 2026-09-30 · Canonical: https://www.thetechbag.com/blog/techbag-offering-symphony-summitai-products

The product this blog promoted in August 2022 no longer exists under that name. SymphonyAI launched Summit Apex on 17 October 2023, moves Summit customers to Apex 2.0, and its IT service management page now sells a platform called Apex Aspen.[1] [2] [3] None of those pages prints a price. That puts the line among the 7 of 18 ITSM and service-desk products in TechBag’s guide that are quote-only. TechBag listed SummitAI in 2022; read what follows as a correction of our own brochure.

## What SymphonyAI's pages say now

The Apex launch release named four modules, service management, asset management, service automation and a generative-AI digital agent, usable “independently or together”, and promised service requests resolved “up to 50% faster”.[1] The Apex 2.0 page tells existing customers the upgrade “comes at no additional service charge” under “our new licensing model”, whose details sit with the customer-success team. A standard upgrade “typically takes 3–4 weeks”, it is offered to SaaS customers on the Tahoe or Elbrus versions, and “on-premises upgrade support for Apex 2.0 is currently not available”.[2] The product page claims 75% faster resolution, up to 80% of service requests automated, 204% ROI and US$3.2 million of net present value, with 40-plus integrations and 1,000-plus connectors.[3]

ReportedVendor-reported, and what is absent

Every figure above is SymphonyAI’s own, with no customer count, period or baseline. The same page’s meta description says 60% automation where the body says 80%. The 2022 brochure’s “TCO per asset reduced by 63%” appears on no current page, so it is withdrawn here. No page names a price, a data region or India hosting; the compliance line reads “WCAG / HIPPA / VAPT / GDPR”.[2] [3]

## Where that leaves it against the field

TechBag’s ITSM guide held 18 products on 30 September 2026. Seven run the full ITIL set (incident, request, problem, change, a CMDB); four are incident-and-request or PSA tools; seven are helpdesks that do not run change management.[4] Of the seven full-ITIL platforms, four print a price: Freshservice at US$19 to US$99 an agent a month, SolarWinds Service Desk at US$39 to US$124, ServiceDesk Plus per technician a year with a free edition to five technicians, and Jira Service Management per agent. Ivanti, BMC Helix and ServiceNow quote. SymphonyAI, had it been a row, would make that four of eight.

**Figure: Quote-only is the norm at the top of the ITSM market, and SymphonyAI fits the norm**

TechBag countHow we counted

Five of the 18 are built in India (Freshservice, Freshdesk, ServiceDesk Plus, Zoho Desk, Hiver) and three more document an Indian data region (BMC Helix, Jira Service Management, SolarWinds Web Help Desk). Counted from the guide’s product records, not from vendor marketing.[4]

## What to ask before you buy a service desk you cannot price

A platform renamed twice in three years is a bet on a roadmap, and the on-premises line says the roadmap is SaaS. Ask for the version your tenant will run, the per-agent price in INR with 18% GST shown separately, the data region in writing, and where on-premises customers go.[2] Then price the same ticket volume on Freshservice Pro at US$99, where problem and change sit, and on ServiceDesk Plus, the one India-built full-ITIL product in the guide that also installs on your own servers.[4]

A service desk is a personal-data system: every ticket carries an employee’s name, device and problem. The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025 and bring the security-safeguard and breach-notice duties into force on 13 May 2027.[5] CERT-In’s Directions of 28 April 2022 already require ICT logs kept for 180 days within Indian jurisdiction, a question for any desk hosted abroad.[6]

Our view

Our view: an AI agent is worth paying for only on top of a service desk whose price, region and upgrade path you can state in one sentence. Four of the seven full-ITIL platforms let you write that sentence from a public page. Start there, and let the quote-only vendors, SymphonyAI among them, earn the demo by matching it.

How we did this

Figures as of 30 September 2026

SymphonyAI facts come from three of its own pages: the Apex launch release (17 October 2023), the Apex 2.0 upgrade page and the IT service management page; no pricing page exists. Field counts are TechBag’s, from the 18 product records in the ITSM guide on 30 September 2026 (vendor-doc-verified from 24 August); ITIL depth, price and India status are the guide’s classifications. SymphonyAI is not a row and was not asked for a quote.
