    This Transaction Policy ("Policy") governs all purchases, refunds, and cancellations made through the website www.thetechbag.com ("Platform"), operated by TechBag Digital Private Limited ("TechBag," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.

    By making a purchase on our Platform, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by this Policy. Please read it carefully before completing any transaction.

    1. Scope of This Policy

    This Policy applies to all transactions processed through TechBag, including but not limited to:

    • Purchase of software licenses (perpetual, subscription, or one-time)
    • Renewal of existing software subscriptions
    • Purchase of software add-ons, modules, or upgrades
    • Any other digital products or services offered on the Platform

    TechBag acts as an authorized reseller and marketplace for software products from various vendors. The specific terms of use, licensing, and product-level policies of individual software vendors may also apply in addition to this Policy.

    2. Pricing and Payment
    2.1 Pricing
    • All prices displayed on the Platform are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.
    • Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes (GST) unless explicitly mentioned otherwise.
    • TechBag reserves the right to modify pricing at any time without prior notice. However, any price change will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.
    • Promotional offers, discounts, and coupon codes are subject to their respective terms and conditions and may be withdrawn at any time.
    2.2 Payment Methods

    We accept payments through the following methods via our payment gateway partner, Razorpay:

    • Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, RuPay)
    • Debit Cards
    • Net Banking
    • UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
    • Mobile Wallets
    • EMI (Equated Monthly Installments) — subject to bank and card eligibility
    • Pay Later options — subject to provider eligibility
    2.3 Payment Processing
    • All payments are securely processed through Razorpay Payment Gateway, which is PCI-DSS compliant. TechBag does not store your card or banking credentials on its servers.
    • Upon successful payment, you will receive an order confirmation via email to your registered email address.
    • If a payment fails due to technical issues, the debited amount (if any) will be automatically reversed to your payment source within 5–7 business days by your bank or payment provider.
    • TechBag is not responsible for any additional charges levied by your bank or payment provider, including but not limited to currency conversion fees, international transaction fees, or convenience charges.
    2.4 Order Confirmation

    An order is considered confirmed only after successful payment verification and receipt of a confirmation email from TechBag. A confirmed order constitutes a valid contract between you and TechBag for the delivery of the purchased product(s) or service(s).

    3. Delivery of Products and Services
    • Digital Delivery: Since TechBag deals exclusively in software and digital products, all deliveries are made electronically. License keys, activation links, download instructions, or access credentials will be sent to your registered email address within the timeframe specified on the product page (typically within 24–48 hours of order confirmation).
    • Vendor Processing: For certain products, delivery timelines may depend on the respective software vendor's processing time. TechBag will keep you informed of any delays.
    • Account Setup: For SaaS (Software as a Service) products, account setup and provisioning may require additional information from you, and the delivery timeline starts from the point all required information is received.
    4. Refund Policy

    TechBag is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. We understand that sometimes a purchase may not meet your expectations, and we have outlined a fair and transparent refund process below.

    4.1 Eligibility for Refund

    You may be eligible for a refund under the following circumstances:

    • Non-Delivery: If you do not receive the license key, activation link, or access credentials within the specified delivery timeframe and TechBag is unable to fulfill the order.
    • Defective or Non-Functional Product: If the software license or product key delivered is invalid, expired, already used, or does not work as described on the product page.
    • Duplicate Payment: If you have been charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical or payment processing error.
    • Incorrect Product: If you receive a product that is materially different from what was described or ordered.
    • Vendor-Approved Refund: If the software vendor approves a refund for the product under their own refund policy.
    4.2 Non-Refundable Scenarios

    Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

    • The license key or product has been activated, used, or registered by you or any third party.
    • You have changed your mind after the product has been delivered and/or activated.
    • Issues arising from your failure to meet the system requirements or prerequisites specified on the product page.
    • The product has been purchased during a promotional sale or with a discount coupon, unless otherwise stated in the promotional terms.
    • Subscription renewals that have been processed and activated with the vendor.
    • Services that have already been rendered or commenced (e.g., consultation, implementation, or onboarding services).
    • Any product or service explicitly marked as "non-refundable" on the product page at the time of purchase.
    4.3 Refund Request Process

    To request a refund, please follow the steps below:

    1. Initiate a Request: Send an email to info@thetechbag.com with subject line "Refund Request — [Your Order ID]" within 7 days from the date of purchase.
    2. Provide Details: Include the following information in your email:
      • Order ID / Transaction Reference Number
      • Product name and description
      • Reason for the refund request
      • Supporting evidence (screenshots, error messages, etc.), if applicable
    3. Review Period: Our team will review your request and may reach out for additional information. We aim to acknowledge your request within 2 business days and resolve it within 7 business days of acknowledgment.
    4. Resolution: Upon approval, we will initiate the refund. If the refund is not approved, we will provide a clear explanation along with alternative solutions (e.g., product replacement, credit, or vendor escalation).
    4.4 Refund Timelines

    Once a refund is approved and initiated by TechBag, the processing time depends on the original payment method:

    Note: Refunds are always processed to the original payment method used during the transaction. TechBag does not issue refunds via cash, cheque, or to a different payment instrument. The transaction/convenience fee charged by the payment gateway is non-refundable.

    4.5 Partial Refunds

    TechBag may issue partial refunds at its discretion under the following circumstances:

    • When only a portion of a multi-product order is eligible for a refund.
    • When a product has been partially used or activated before the refund request.
    • When mutually agreed upon between TechBag and the customer as a resolution.

    Multiple partial refunds may be issued for a single order, provided the total refunded amount does not exceed the original transaction amount.

    5. Cancellation Policy
    5.1 Cancellation by Customer

    You may cancel an order under the following conditions:

    • Before Delivery: If the product or license key has not yet been delivered or activated, you may request a cancellation by emailing info@thetechbag.com with your Order ID. A full refund will be issued upon successful cancellation.
    • After Delivery: Once the product has been delivered (license key sent, software access provided, or activation completed), cancellation is subject to the refund eligibility criteria outlined in Section 4 above.
    • Subscription Products: For subscription-based products, cancellation requests must be made at least 15 days prior to the next billing/renewal date. Cancellation after the renewal has been processed is subject to the vendor's cancellation policy.
    5.2 Cancellation by TechBag

    TechBag reserves the right to cancel an order at any time under the following circumstances:

    • Suspicion of fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal transaction activity.
    • Inability to fulfill the order due to product unavailability from the vendor.
    • Pricing errors or technical glitches on the Platform.
    • Failure to verify customer identity or payment details when required.
    • Violation of our Terms and Conditions.

    In the event of cancellation by TechBag, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued to the original payment method. TechBag shall not be liable for any consequential damages, losses, or additional costs arising from such cancellation.

    5.3 Auto-Cancellation

    If a payment is initiated but not captured or confirmed within the payment gateway's specified timeframe (typically due to session timeout, network failure, or incomplete authentication), the transaction will be automatically cancelled, and any debited amount will be refunded to your payment source within 5–7 business days by your bank or payment provider.

    6. Disputes and Chargebacks
    • If you believe you are entitled to a refund and have not received a satisfactory response from TechBag within 15 business days of raising a request, you may raise a dispute (chargeback) with your bank or card issuer. Please note that disputes can only be raised after a minimum of 7 days from the date of the original payment.
    • We encourage you to contact us at info@thetechbag.com before raising a chargeback, as we are committed to resolving all genuine concerns amicably.
    • TechBag reserves the right to contest fraudulent or unwarranted chargebacks and may suspend accounts involved in chargeback abuse.
    7. Exchange and Replacement

    In lieu of a refund, TechBag may offer to exchange or replace a product under the following conditions:

    • The product delivered was incorrect, defective, or non-functional.
    • A comparable alternative product is available from the same or a different vendor.
    • The exchange or replacement is mutually agreed upon by TechBag and the customer.

    Exchange or replacement requests are subject to product availability and vendor approval.

    8. Invoice and Tax Documentation
    • A GST-compliant invoice will be generated for every successful transaction and sent to your registered email address.
    • For cancellations and refunds, a credit note will be issued as per applicable GST regulations.
    • If you require any modifications to the invoice (e.g., company name, GST number), please contact us within 48 hours of the transaction.
    9. Limitation of Liability

    TechBag's total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a transaction shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for that specific transaction. TechBag shall not be liable for:

    • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
    • Loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
    • Delays or failures in product delivery caused by third-party vendors or payment processors.
    • Issues arising from the customer's misuse, misconfiguration, or unauthorized use of the purchased product.
    10. Amendments to This Policy

    TechBag reserves the right to update, modify, or replace this Transaction Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

    11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
