Your technicians still walk to desks and read codes over the phone. A fix shouldn’t need a visit — Zoho Assist puts a technician on any user’s screen from a link, and on enrolled PCs with nobody there — priced per technician or per 25 computers, in rupees, with records kept in Zoho’s India data centre if you choose it.

Most product pages skip this. We start here — so you buy a capability, not a buzzword.
A way to see and control a user’s computer from anywhere — so a technician fixes it without walking over.
What consolidation actually replaces, dimension by dimension.
| Dimension | Desk visits and borrowed tools | Zoho Assist |
|---|---|---|
| Reaching the user | Desk visits and phone walkthroughs | An invite link, SMS or session ID |
| After-hours fixes | Wait for someone to be at the PC | Unattended agents with wake-on-LAN |
| Proof of what was done | A line in a ticket, if that | Recordings and session audit on higher tiers |
| Who may connect | Shared passwords to remote tools | Roles, IP restriction and MFA via Secure Connect |
| The price | Free tools no one licensed properly | Published INR list, per technician or per 25 PCs |
| What it is NOT | — | Not an RMM — no patching or monitoring suite |
The cheapest test is the 15-day trial: open the account on Zoho's India data centre, enrol one branch's PCs, and see what it replaces.
Vendors love diagrams; buyers need to know what they’re actually operating. Here’s the whole platform, demystified.
Technicians work from a web viewer, a native desktop viewer or the iOS and Android apps, starting sessions, sending invitations and opening the in-session diagnostic tools.
The customer joins from an email, SMS or link invitation, types a session ID into a web form, or raises a request from the Quick Support plugin on their desktop.
An agent on Windows, Mac, Linux or Raspberry Pi keeps a machine reachable with nobody present, grouped for permissions and deployed in bulk by script or distributor.
Customer data, session details, logs and encrypted recordings are managed in the Zoho data centre chosen at sign-up; Zoho lists Mumbai and Chennai among its sites.
A technician console and an unattended agent — joined through Zoho’s cloud, with records in the data centre you pick.
Zoho Assist lets a technician see and fix a computer from anywhere, whether or not anyone is sitting at it.
Invite a customer by email, SMS or link, or let them enter a session ID in a web form; each Remote Support technician runs unlimited ad-hoc sessions.
Agents on Windows, Mac, Linux and Raspberry Pi, pushed by start-up script or distributor, with wake-on-LAN and computer groups for fleets.
ChromeOS, iOS, Android and IoT devices need a Professional or higher edition; since September 2026 an Android TV can join using its remote’s D-pad.
Task Manager, Command Prompt, Registry Editor, Device Manager and Event Viewer open in-session, with Mac and Linux tools added through 2025–26.
Admins keep scripts in one place and run them on remote devices mid-session; remote script execution needs Remote Support Enterprise or Unattended Professional.
Session Highlights (August 2026) summarises and tags each finished session; the Zoho Assist MCP integration (April 2026) lets an AI agent start sessions.
With Secure Connect on, a technician must pass multi-factor authentication before reaching any unattended device; it arrived in June 2026 on Unattended Professional.
Session recording, session audit and scheduled reports come with Remote Support Enterprise and Unattended Professional; extra storage is $4 a month per 5 GB.
Organisation roles and IP-based restriction on every plan, departments higher up, and prompts before a technician joins, blanks a screen or prints.
A product overview, enrolling machines for unattended access, Secure Connect MFA, and the Session Highlights summaries added in 2026.
The product end to end.
Enrolling and deploying agents.
MFA before any unattended session.

Zoho keeps the two licences apart. Remote Support is bought per technician, for help-desk sessions to any computer; Unattended Access is bought per 25 computers, with unlimited technicians reaching those enrolled machines. A team doing both buys both, sized to its own mix.
Zoho lists INR prices beside USD: Remote Support Standard ₹480 a month, or ₹400 billed yearly; Professional ₹720 or ₹600; Enterprise ₹1,120 or ₹960. Unattended Access runs ₹480/₹400 and ₹720/₹600 per 25 computers. Zoho calls it pay-as-you-go — change or cancel any time.
Zoho’s help page says all customer data, session details and logs are managed in the Zoho data centre selected at sign-up. Zoho lists India among its regions, with Mumbai as primary and Chennai as secondary site. Pick India when the account is created — it is set then.
Standard allows two concurrent sessions per technician. Recording, audit and diagnostics wait for Enterprise or Unattended Professional. There is no published self-hosted edition — Zoho asks you to contact it — 24x7 Enterprise Support is paid, and SSO is not on the plan comparison.
Count technicians who take ad-hoc calls and computers you must reach unattended — that sets seats and 25-PC packs.
Create the account on Zoho’s India data centre, then choose Standard, Professional or Enterprise by the concurrency you need.
Run the 15-day trial with a single help-desk shift and one branch’s PCs enrolled, and log sessions, drops and fixes.
Deploy agents by script or distributor, group computers, turn on 2FA and Secure Connect, and connect your helpdesk.
Move every technician onto Assist, confirm recordings and reports land where audit needs them, then remove the old tools.

“We bought four technician seats for the service desk and two Unattended packs for branch PCs. Keeping the licences apart kept the bill honest.”
“Standard’s two-session cap bit us in the first busy week. Moving the senior engineers to Professional fixed it for ₹200 more a head.”
“We picked the India data centre when we signed up, and that one decision answered most of the questions our auditors asked.”
“Customers type a session ID into a form on our site and land straight in the queue. No more reading codes over the phone.”
“Recording is Enterprise-only for attended sessions. We learnt that after the trial, so budget for the top tier if you need proof.”
“Secure Connect means nobody touches a plant-floor PC without MFA. It closed the gap our old shared-password setup left open.”
Analyst firms bury this view behind paywalls, and G2 retired its Grid. So here’s TechBag’s synthesis of the remote support market — tap any vendor to see why it sits where it does.
Execution strength vs product vision — the classic market map, minus the paywall.
Two licences, INR list, India data centre.
The grid nobody publishes — where your session data can live, India included, vs how openly and flexibly the product is priced.

Zoho Assist is one of 22 remote support & access products TechBag carries. The Remote Support & Access guide narrows them to a shortlist and shows the reasoning. →
Drag the sliders (computers you support; technician-hour cost). Estimates model technician time spent on desk visits, phone walkthroughs and waiting for users at an assumed 1.5 hours per computer a year, with 70% of it removed by remote sessions and unattended access. Both figures are assumptions. Illustrative.
Loaded cost = salary + overheads per productive hour. Illustrative only — your TechBag quote models your actual environment and modules.
Published: Zoho lists Zoho Assist in USD and INR, monthly or yearly. Remote Support, per technician a month — Standard $12 (₹480), or $10 (₹400) billed yearly; Professional $18 (₹720) or $15 (₹600); Enterprise $28 (₹1,120) or $24 (₹960). Unattended Access, per 25 computers a month — Standard $12 (₹480) or $10 (₹400); Professional $18 (₹720) or $15 (₹600). A free plan and a 15-day trial exist; teams of 10+ technicians can ask for concurrent pricing. TechBag sizes the seats and PC packs first, then quotes in INR with GST.

How many technicians take ad-hoc sessions, and how many computers need unattended access? Each is bought separately.
Will a technician run more than two sessions at once? Standard allows 2, Professional 4 and Enterprise 6.
Is the account being created on Zoho’s India data centre? It is chosen at sign-up, so decide before anyone registers.
Do you need attended sessions recorded for audit? That needs Remote Support Enterprise, plus storage beyond the base.
Do you support phones, tablets or ChromeOS? They need Professional or higher on either licence.
Is single sign-on a requirement? It is not on the plan comparison — get Zoho’s answer in writing.
Do you need 24x7 help? Enterprise Support is a paid add-on on every plan, not included.
Must sessions stay on your own servers? Zoho publishes no on-premises edition — raise it with Zoho first.
Count your technicians and the computers you reach unattended first, or let a TechBag advisor scope a trial that puts one desk and one site on Zoho Assist.
