PinkVERIFY-listed for configuration AND asset management — and the most deployment-flexible ITSM platform we carry: cloud, on-premises or hybrid, with a 2026 on-premises doc set. One thing stated up front, because it is easy to misread: there is NO India data region for ITSM. This hub is your complete intel file.

The company, at a glance
Quick answer
The complete Ivanti Neurons family — every linked card is a full intel page, from the core service management platform to the AIOps half of ServiceOps.
Incident, problem, change, request — with configuration management in every package.
The service management platform, and the reason Ivanti is on this list. Configuration management is a feature in all three packages, not an upsell, and the PinkVERIFY registry lists Ivanti for both configuration and asset management as a single certified toolset. Deployment is the differentiator: cloud, on-premises or hybrid, with a 2026 on-premises documentation set that includes fresh-install instructions.
Vendors, contracts, procurement, licences — in the same platform, not beside it.
IT asset management is a line item in all three packages: vendor management, contract management, shipments, invoicing, procurement, asset lifecycle and stock. Ivanti’s framing is that the asset record and the configuration model stay in sync because they are the same platform rather than two systems reconciled nightly. Note that Neurons for Spend Intelligence is separately licensed.
Continuously discovers, normalises and reconciles asset data.
Discovery flows directly into ITAM, the CMDB and operational workflows, keeping software usage, licensing and contract data current. Asset Discovery is listed as a line item in all three packages — which is a genuine contrast with BMC, where discovery is a separate five-figure SKU. TechBag will confirm the exact entitlement at quote stage, because Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix.
HR, facilities, GRC and project portfolio on the same platform.
The ESM package is everything in ITSM plus HR Service Management, Facilities Service Management, GRC, Project Portfolio Management, Security Operations Management and the Self-Service AI Agent. Buy this when service management is spreading past IT and you would rather not run four tools. Buy the ITSM package if it is not.
The endpoint add-on package — unified device management, OS provisioning, patch management, app distribution and fleet-level remediation. A different buying conversation from the service desk, so it is not given a page here.
Separately licensed, accessed through the Neurons Platform and integrable with ITAM Cloud. Confirm the entitlement at quote stage — Ivanti publishes no public entitlement matrix.
Ivanti is one of the ITSM platforms TechBag carries in endpoint management. The Endpoint Management guide shows how the category splits and which part is yours. →
Enterprise IT pain comes from a service desk that cannot answer two questions: what changed, and what will this change break. That is a configuration problem before it is a ticketing problem — spreadsheets and disconnected tools. ServiceNow bet on a configuration model that is actually kept accurate— because the platform that fits your compliance and infrastructure constraints beats the platform with the longest feature list. Ivanti is the most deployment-flexible option we carry: cloud, on-premises or hybrid.
This is the fact most likely to be misread, so TechBag states it plainly. India DOES appear in Ivanti’s subprocessor list, which is why the mistake is easy to make. But it appears on the AWS row for Ivanti’s VULNERABILITY and SECURITY products, and on the row for EPAM Systems, an engineering contractor — that is personnel access, not data hosting. Every row for Ivanti Neurons for ITSM lists the United States, Australia and Germany. There is no India data region for ITSM. Ivanti’s India presence is real and substantial — offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai — and that matters for support in your timezone. It is not a residency answer. If your obligation names a storage location in India, BMC Helix is the platform on this list that documents one.
Ivanti’s own product page states that Neurons for ITSM is built on a multi-tenant platform designed for the cloud, but can be deployed in the cloud, on-premises or as a hybrid combination. Backing that up: a dedicated on-premises documentation set for 2026 exists covering system requirements, installation prerequisites, fresh installation, Redis setup, licence management, upgrades and performance tuning — fresh-install documentation, not upgrade-only notes. In a category where most platforms are SaaS-only, that is a real reason regulated estates shortlist Ivanti. The honest caveat: Ivanti does not state publicly whether on-premises is sold to NEW customers, so confirm that at quote stage rather than assuming it.
The PinkVERIFY registry lists Ivanti as ‘ITSM and ITAM v2025.4’ across 14 areas, and critically it holds both configuration management and IT asset management. Only two vendors in TechBag’s ITSM guide hold both — Ivanti and BMC. Read the registry carefully though: PinkVERIFY is no longer an ITIL 4 certification, because PeopleCert ended its relationship with Pink Elephant in May 2023, and the registry publishes no expiry dates at all, so currency cannot be verified from it. The accurate claim is that Ivanti is listed in the PinkVERIFY registry for 14 areas including configuration and asset management. Anyone selling you ‘current ITIL 4 certification’ is overstating it.
Ivanti products have been repeatedly exploited by state-linked threat actors — CVE-2023-46805, CVE-2024-21887, CVE-2025-0282 and CVE-2025-22457 among them, with CISA advisory AA25-022A and Google/Mandiant reporting. Two things must be said together, because saying only one of them would be misleading. First, those vulnerabilities hit Connect Secure and VPN appliances, NOT Neurons for ITSM; treating them as ITSM defects would be inaccurate. Second, an Indian buyer with CERT-In obligations inherits the vendor-risk conversation anyway, because procurement and security review both look at the vendor rather than only the SKU. TechBag raises it up front so you can have that conversation deliberately rather than discovering it in a security questionnaire.
Start with Neurons for ITSM — then settle two things before anything else: whether you need on-premises or hybrid, and whether your obligation names India data storage, because for ITSM the answer here is no.

Ivanti is the most deployment-flexible platform on our ITSM list, with a 2026 on-premises documentation set that includes fresh-install instructions rather than upgrade-only notes. The caveat worth settling at quote stage: Ivanti does not state publicly whether on-premises is sold to new customers.
Read →India appears in Ivanti’s subprocessor list, but on the security-products AWS row and on an engineering contractor’s row. Every Neurons for ITSM row lists the US, Australia and Germany. Offices are not residency, and conflating them is how a compliance answer goes wrong.
Read →Not ITIL 4, since PeopleCert ended its relationship with Pink Elephant in May 2023 — and the registry publishes no expiry dates, so currency cannot be verified. What it does show: Ivanti listed for 14 areas including both configuration and asset management.
Read →Ivanti’s exploited CVEs hit Connect Secure and VPN appliances, not Neurons for ITSM. That distinction is real and we make it. It is also true that procurement and security review look at the vendor, not the SKU — so plan for that conversation.

If your obligation names a data storage location in India, Ivanti Neurons for ITSM does not meet it — every ITSM row in Ivanti’s subprocessor list shows the United States, Australia and Germany. India appears elsewhere in that document, for security products and for an engineering contractor, and that is not the same thing. If India storage is mandatory, look at BMC Helix, which documents a Mumbai region.
This is Ivanti’s strongest card: all three are supported, and the 2026 on-premises documentation includes fresh-install instructions rather than upgrade-only notes. Confirm at quote stage whether on-premises is sold to new customers, because Ivanti does not state that publicly.
Three packages: ITSM, ESM (everything in ITSM plus HR, facilities, GRC, PPM and SecOps) and AEM for endpoints. Note that ‘Enterprise Premium’ no longer exists — that URL now redirects. Buy ESM only if service management is genuinely spreading past IT.
Asset Discovery is a line item in all three packages, and Ivanti markets Neurons for Discovery separately. Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix, so get the exact scope in writing rather than inferring it from a package summary.
Ivanti’s exploited CVEs hit Connect Secure and VPN appliances, not Neurons for ITSM, and TechBag will say that in your security review. But the review will happen, so bring the CISA advisory and the scope distinction to the meeting rather than being asked for them.
| Product | Licensing model | How you enter | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neurons for ITSM | Quote-only, per package | No published rate card | Service management with configuration in every package |
| Neurons for ESM | Quote-only, superset package | No published rate card | HR, facilities, GRC and PPM alongside IT |
| Spend Intelligence | Separately licensed | Confirm at quote | Software spend visibility — not in the base packages |
| The naming trap | ‘Enterprise Premium’ is gone | That URL now redirects | Three packages today: ITSM, ESM, AEM |
Every workflow is quote-priced (per fulfiller/employee/module, by edition) — TechBag right-sizes the mix and models it in INR/GST for your size.
The single most consequential mistake available with this vendor, and an easy one because India genuinely does appear in that document. It appears on the AWS row for the vulnerability and security products, and on the EPAM Systems row — an engineering contractor, which is personnel access rather than hosting. Every Neurons for ITSM row lists the United States, Australia and Germany. If a compliance answer depends on this, read the product column, not just the country column.
Ivanti has substantial India offices in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai. That is a real advantage for support in your timezone and for implementation resource. It says nothing about where your data sits. Both facts are true and they answer different questions.
Several sites, including at least one distributor, claim Ivanti has been an ITSM Magic Quadrant Leader three years running. That traces back to the 2022 Magic Quadrant and is being recycled. Ivanti IS among the 16 vendors evaluated in the 27 July 2026 Magic Quadrant for ITSM Platforms — we have not been able to verify its quadrant, so we do not state one, and neither should a proposal you sign off.
It is not one any more. PeopleCert ended its relationship with Pink Elephant in May 2023, and the registry now describes itself as aligned with multiple frameworks and ISO/IEC 20000 rather than with ITIL specifically. It also publishes no expiry dates, so currency is not verifiable from it. What is accurate: Ivanti is listed for 14 areas including configuration and asset management.
The estimates in circulation contradict each other so badly — $25 to $59 per user per YEAR against $95 per agent per MONTH — that they are self-evidently unreliable. Ivanti publishes no pricing for any tier. Anyone quoting you a per-seat figure from a comparison site is guessing.

January 2017. The lineage is still visible in current documentation and in FedRAMP’s listing, which names the product ‘Ivanti Neurons for ITSM (Formerly Service Manager)’.
What it means for you
Useful context when you meet HEAT-era references in the docs — this is one product line with several former names, not several products.
Clearlake Capital, then TA Associates in 2020, then Charlesbank Capital Partners in 2021. Ivanti remains private, and no 2026 ownership change was found.
What it means for you
A settled ownership picture, which is a genuine contrast with BMC Helix’s in-flight carve-out to Montagu.
Effective 1 January 2025, succeeding Jeff Abbott, who remained on the board. Search results still surface ‘Jim Schaper’, which is stale.
What it means for you
Recent enough to be worth checking in any document you are handed — a proposal naming an older CEO was probably written from a stale template.
Repeated exploitation of Connect Secure and VPN appliances by state-linked actors, with CISA advisory AA25-022A and Google/Mandiant reporting.
What it means for you
Scope it accurately — these were not ITSM defects. But expect them in your security review regardless, because reviews assess the vendor rather than the SKU.
Cherwell Service Management, acquired by Ivanti, is reported to reach end of life on 31 December 2026, with Neurons for ITSM as the replacement path. This date is third-party sourced.
What it means for you
If you run Cherwell, this is a migration conversation with a deadline attached — but verify the date with Ivanti directly rather than trusting a secondary source.
