The file you need is on the office PC. You shouldn’t have to drive back for it — LogMeIn Pro puts your own office and home computers one sign-in away — from a browser, desktop or phone — with printing, multi-monitor view, antivirus and unlimited users in every plan.

This page covers LogMeIn Pro — remote access to your own computers. The rest of GoTo’s LogMeIn line:
Most product pages skip this. We start here — so you buy a capability, not a buzzword.
Reaching your own computer from somewhere else — its screen, files and printer — as if you were at the desk.
What consolidation actually replaces, dimension by dimension.
| Dimension | VPN, open RDP port, emailed files | LogMeIn Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Reaching the office PC | VPN plus an open RDP port | Outbound host link, nothing opened inbound |
| Getting a file home | Emailing it to yourself | Drag-and-drop file transfer |
| Printing remotely | Copy the file, then print | Print straight to the nearby printer |
| Who can get in | One shared password | Own sign-in each, plus the host’s OS login |
| Antivirus | A separate licence per machine | LogMeIn Antivirus included in the plan |
| What it is NOT | — | Not a support desk for strangers’ PCs — that is Rescue |
The cheapest test is the 14-day trial: install the host on one office PC, connect from your phone and a browser, and print one document at home.
Vendors love diagrams; buyers need to know what they’re actually operating. Here’s the whole platform, demystified.
Installed once on every Windows or Mac you want to reach. It opens an outbound TLS link to GoTo, so no inbound firewall port has to be opened at home or office.
Gateways in GoTo’s data centres pair a signed-in client with its hosts, then pass the TLS session state to the host so traffic stays encrypted end to end.
You sign in at LogMeIn.com or in the app, pick a computer from the list, and still have to pass that computer’s own Windows or Mac login before a session opens.
The account holds the computer list, invited users and security options — two-step verification, emailed or printed codes and email alerts on login events.
A host on each computer dials out to GoTo’s gateway — you sign in, then pass that computer’s own login too.
LogMeIn Pro lets you reach your own computers from anywhere, as if you were sitting at them.
Take over a remote PC or Mac from a browser, the desktop app or the iOS and Android apps, as though you were at its keyboard.
A host with several monitors shows each one on its own local screen, so a two-screen office desk stays two screens from home.
On Windows hosts, Background Access opens a dashboard for upkeep tasks without taking over the screen or interrupting whoever is at it.
TLS 1.2 and 1.3 with AES keys up to 256-bit; the gateway hands the session to the host, so it does not decrypt your traffic.
Add two-step verification, one-time emailed or printed codes, and email alerts for failed logins or password changes on the account.
Bitdefender-powered antivirus with real-time protection, firewall, anti-phishing and device control, included from the Individuals plan up.
Move files between home and office machines by drag and drop, with no file-size restriction on GoTo’s features page — no emailing yourself.
A document open on the office computer prints to whichever printer is next to you, without copying the file across first.
Give colleagues access to chosen computers at no extra charge; the plan limits computers, not the number of people using them.
Installing a host and making the first connection, printing a remote document to a local printer, and what to check when a computer will not connect.

The three published plans differ only in how many computers they cover — 2, 5 or 10. Remote printing, multi-monitor display, file transfer, LogMeIn Antivirus and unlimited users come with every one, so the cheapest plan is not a stripped-down trial of the dearer ones.
A LogMeIn.com sign-in, with optional two-step verification, gets you to the computer list; the host then demands its own Windows or Mac login. GoTo’s whitepaper adds IP filters, lockout after failed attempts and an optional personal password asked in part.
Individuals is $30 a month, Power Users $70 and Small Businesses $129, each billed annually; checkout shows the yearly totals as $349.99, $839.99 and $1,539.99 in US dollars. Month-to-month billing is dearer at $55, $130 and $230 a month.
The largest listed plan covers 10 computers. Hosts must be Windows or Mac — Linux is beta only. An account owner cannot force two-step verification on every user; that policy is a Central feature. There is no INR price list, and GoTo’s hosting list names no Indian site.
List every Windows or Mac to be reached and who needs each — 2, 5 or 10 computers decides the plan, not the headcount.
Sign up without a card, install the host on one office computer, and connect from home through the browser and the mobile app.
Turn on two-step verification for every user, switch on login alerts, and set IP filters on hosts that hold sensitive files.
Invite colleagues to the computers they need, test remote printing and multi-monitor view, and confirm antivirus shows as active.
Move to annual billing, which is cheaper than monthly, and diarise the renewal — annual plans renew unless cancelled first.

“Our CA practice runs three office PCs. The Power Users plan covers all of them, and both partners log in without buying extra seats.”
“Printing from the clinic desktop to my home printer sounds minor. It is the feature I use every single evening.”
“The host asks for the Windows password even after the LogMeIn sign-in. Our auditor liked that second gate more than the encryption talk.”
“It bills in dollars on a card. For a ten-person firm that means a foreign-currency line on the statement every year.”
“Two monitors at the office, two at home, shown one to one. Spreadsheet work from home stopped being a squint.”
“We hit eleven computers and learned the Small Businesses plan stops at ten. Past that, the talk turns to Central.”

LogMeIn Pro is one of 22 remote support & access products TechBag carries. The Remote Support & Access guide narrows them to a shortlist and shows the reasoning. →
Drag the sliders (computers you reach remotely; staff-hour cost). Estimates model time lost to trips back to the office, emailing files to yourself and VPN troubleshooting at an assumed 1.5 hours per computer a year, with 70% of it removed by direct remote access. Both figures are assumptions. Illustrative.

How many computers must be reachable? Plans stop at 2, 5 and 10; an eleventh means pricing Central instead.
Are all hosts Windows 7+, Server 2008 R2+ or macOS 10.13+? Linux hosts are beta only and Chromebooks are unsupported.
Can finance pay a USD card charge? Pro lists no INR price; an Indian GST number can be entered at checkout.
Have you compared $55 a month on monthly billing with $30 a month billed annually for the same 2 computers?
Will every user switch on 2FA themselves? Pro cannot enforce it account-wide; Central can.
Is it acceptable that GoTo’s hosting list for Pro names Germany, Australia, England, the US, the Netherlands and Ireland, not India?
Do these computers already run another antivirus? Decide whether LogMeIn Antivirus replaces it or stays switched off.
Do both ends have a steady connection? GoTo recommends 25 Mbit/s or more at each end for smooth remote control.
Count the computers you need to reach first, or let a TechBag advisor check whether Pro or Central fits and set up a trial on your real office machines.
