Know what will break before you change it. Change impact is a configuration question — Asset lifecycle, contracts and procurement in all three packages — certified with ITSM as one toolset. What to confirm: there is no entitlement matrix to read.

This page covers Ivanti Neurons for ITAM — asset lifecycle. The rest of the family:
Most product pages skip this. We start here — so you buy a capability, not a buzzword.
IT asset management — vendors, contracts, procurement, shipments, lifecycle and stock — delivered as a line item in all three Ivanti packages rather than a separate purchase.
What consolidation actually replaces, dimension by dimension.
| Dimension | Without a configuration model | Ivanti Neurons for ITAM (SailPoint) |
|---|---|---|
| Asset data | A spreadsheet finance owns | In the platform the service desk uses |
| Contracts | In a drawer until renewal week | Attached to the assets they cover |
| Reconciliation | Nightly, and usually disputed | One platform, one record |
| Stock | Discovered during an audit | Visible while it sits unallocated |
| What is included | Assumed from a package summary | Confirmed in writing — there is no public matrix |

Vendors love diagrams; buyers need to know what they’re actually operating. Here’s the whole platform, demystified.
Tracks assets across their whole life — procurement, deployment, moves, retirement — rather than as a point-in-time inventory that ages the moment it is taken.
Vendor management and contract management with shipments and invoicing attached, so renewal dates and obligations sit with the assets they cover rather than in a finance spreadsheet nobody in IT can see.
Purchase and stock management, so what has been ordered and what is sitting unallocated are both visible — usually the two biggest sources of quiet waste in an estate.
Ivanti’s framing is that the asset record and the configuration model stay in sync because they are the same platform. The PinkVERIFY registry supports the pairing: ITSM and ITAM are listed as one certified toolset across 14 areas.
Ivanti Neurons for Spend Intelligence is separately licensed and accessed through the Neurons Platform. And because Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix, the boundary between what a package includes and what it does not is a question for your quote rather than a page you can read.
One telemetry fabric across endpoint, cloud, and network — threats correlated once, not chased console to console.
Asset management on the same platform as the service desk, certified as one toolset — which is the structural argument for portfolio, and paired with the human firewall.
The managed estate, with technical and commercial attributes together.
Terms, renewal dates and obligations attached to the assets they cover.
Who supplies what, and the commercial relationship behind it.
Purchase requests through to receipt, visible while in flight.
What arrived, what was billed, and whether those agree.
Unallocated kit — usually the quietest source of waste.
Entitlements against installs, feeding compliance work.
Where each asset is in its life, not just that it exists.
Neurons for Discovery keeps the records current — confirm entitlement.
Asset and configuration data in one platform rather than reconciled.
Contract dates surfaced before they pass, not after.
What you own, on what terms, at what cost.
The overview, getting started, and what to confirm before you sign.
Asset management, briefly.

The PinkVERIFY registry lists Ivanti as ‘ITSM and ITAM v2025.4’ across 14 areas, holding both configuration management and IT asset management. That pairing is the point: only two vendors on TechBag’s ITSM list hold both, and Ivanti is one. Read the registry correctly though — PinkVERIFY stopped being an ITIL 4 certification when PeopleCert ended its Pink Elephant relationship in May 2023, and it publishes no expiry dates, so currency is not verifiable from it.
IT asset management is described as a line item in the ITSM, ESM and AEM packages — vendor management, contract management, shipments, invoicing, procurement, lifecycle and stock. That is a genuine commercial contrast with BMC, where the CMDB is bundled but Discovery is a separate five-figure purchase. It is also why the next point matters more here than it would elsewhere.
BMC publishes a subscriber entitlements chart you can read and quote back. Ivanti publishes nothing equivalent. The practical consequence: ‘it is in the package’ is a marketing-page statement rather than a contractual one, and the boundary between included and separately licensed — Spend Intelligence being the clear example — is a question for your quote. TechBag asks it explicitly rather than assuming a favourable reading.
No India data region for ITSM or ITAM. India appears in Ivanti’s subprocessor list on the AWS row for the vulnerability and security products, and on the EPAM Systems row — an engineering contractor, so personnel access rather than hosting. The ITSM and ITAM rows list the United States, Australia and Germany. The four India offices are a support advantage and not a residency answer, and we keep those two facts apart deliberately.
They are different problems. ITAM covers the lifecycle broadly; software spend visibility sits in Spend Intelligence, which is separately licensed.
Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix. ‘Included in the package’ is a marketing statement until it is in your quote.
No India data region for ITAM either. If your obligation names India storage, this is decided before evaluation starts.
The value claim is that assets stay current because discovery feeds them. Verify that on your own estate rather than a demo dataset.
Discovery keeps technical attributes current. Contract and commercial data still needs a human owner.

“Having assets and the service desk on one platform stopped the nightly reconciliation argument.”
“Ask for the entitlement in writing. There is no chart you can point at like BMC has.”
“Contract renewal dates surfacing next to the assets was the unglamorous win.”
Analyst firms bury this view behind paywalls, and G2 retired its Grid. So here’s TechBag’s synthesis of the IT asset management market — tap any vendor to see why it sits where it does.
Execution strength vs product vision — the classic market map, minus the paywall.
Cloud, on-prem or hybrid. No India region for ITSM.
The grid nobody publishes — platform capability vs how much of it you get without buying a second SKU.
Configuration and asset management certified together.
Positions are TechBag’s illustrative synthesis of public review-platform data and vendor documentation — not a reproduction of any analyst graphic. Verify before relying on it.
BMC Helix, ServiceNow, Freshservice and ManageEngine — honest lanes. Note the commercial shapes differ more than the capabilities: Ivanti folds ITAM into the packages, BMC bundles the CMDB but charges separately for Discovery.
| Dimension | Ivanti Neurons | BMC Helix | ServiceNow | Freshservice | ManageEngine SDP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Deployment flexibility | Cloud, on-premises OR hybrid — 2026 on-prem docs | SaaS or current containerised on-prem | SaaS only | SaaS only | On-prem or cloud |
| India data storage | NO India region for ITSM — US, Australia, Germany | OCI Mumbai, backups Hyderabad — documented | None documented | India-built, India hosting available | India-built, on-prem or India cloud |
| Config + asset certified together | PinkVERIFY 14 areas, holds CON AND AM | PinkVERIFY 18 areas, holds CON AND AM | Deep, but not in this registry | Lighter configuration depth | Present |
| Discovery in the package | Asset Discovery a line item in all three packages | SEPARATE SKU from $50,000 | Separately licensed | Included at higher tiers | Included |
| Published pricing | Quote-only, no rate card | Quote-only | Quote-only | Published per-agent tiers | Published tiers |
| Vendor security history in review | Connect Secure/VPN CVEs — not ITSM, but expect the question | Ownership carve-out is the live question instead | Not a live concern | Not a live concern | Not a live concern |
Honest fit signals — because the fastest way to lose your trust is to pretend one product wins every scenario.
Ivanti Neurons for ITAM is one of 14 itsm & service desk products TechBag carries. The ITSM & Service Desk guide narrows them to a shortlist and shows the reasoning. →
Drag the sliders (count managed assets; loaded hourly cost). Estimates assume time currently lost reconciling asset records between finance and IT, and to renewals noticed late. Illustrative — the larger unpriced win is the contract you did not auto-renew because nobody saw the date.
Loaded cost = salary + overheads per productive hour. Illustrative only — your TechBag quote models your actual environment and modules.
QUOTE-ONLY. ITAM is described as a line item in all three packages, but Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix — so the scope belongs in your quote rather than inferred from a summary page.

Whatever the list prices above, TechBag negotiates a significantly better deal — with GST-compliant INR invoicing and local support. Ask us for your discounted quote.
Tell us your requirements and current tools — we’ll model it against what you spend today.
Take this into your next vendor call — including ours.
Is ITAM’s scope stated in your quote? Ivanti publishes no entitlement matrix to point at.
Is software spend visibility needed — and priced, given it is separately licensed?
Does your obligation name India? There is no India region for ITAM.
Is the Asset Discovery entitlement explicit, so asset records stay current?
Is anyone claiming ‘current ITIL 4’? PinkVERIFY is not that and publishes no expiry dates.
Cloud, on-premises or hybrid — and is new-customer on-prem availability confirmed?
Who maintains contract and vendor data after go-live? Discovery will not do that part.
Has the Connect Secure/VPN scope distinction been documented for procurement?
TechBag will ask Ivanti to state exactly what your package includes rather than accepting a summary page — and will price Spend Intelligence separately if software spend visibility is part of what you actually need.
