The six promises in our 2024 Hiver post, mapped to the Free, Growth, Pro and Elite plan that carries each, with billing terms and India notes, as of September 2026.
Five of the six things our February 2024 post promised from Hiver sit in its Growth plan, at US$25 a user a month on annual billing.1 The sixth, measuring customer satisfaction, needs Pro at US$55. Single sign-on, which an Indian IT team will ask for before it lets any tool read the support@ inbox, is on Elite at about US$85.2 The 2024 post told readers to try Hiver for free; the useful question now is which tier the promise actually lives on.
The original sold Hiver on six things: it works inside Gmail, it puts email, live chat and a knowledge base in one place, it automates standard replies and status changes, it lets colleagues work a thread together, it gives agents an internal knowledge base, and it reports response times and customer satisfaction. Hiver’s Growth plan now lists shared inboxes with ownership and history, email, live chat and self-service in one workspace, rule-based automations, pre-built analytics, an AI copilot and an AI knowledge builder.1 Satisfaction surveys, reply-time targets and a customer portal are listed on Pro.1
The 2024 pitch lives in Growth; satisfaction scores sit on Pro and single sign-on on Elite

Hiver is no longer a Gmail tool. It now runs natively in Outlook and Microsoft 365 as well, so a company on Microsoft mail is no longer shut out.2 And the AI the 2024 post did not have is now in the entry paid plan rather than sold as a premium. The cost the original left out is billing: Growth is US$35 a user a month on monthly billing against US$25 on annual, a 40% premium, while Pro is US$65 against US$55, about 18%.1 Hiver also sells a minimum of two seats.2 For the comparison with Zoho Desk, Freshdesk and HubSpot, see our piece on team email and our help desk tier analysis; we do not redraw them here.
Hiver lists in US dollars; an Indian buyer pays the rupee equivalent through a reseller, plus 18% GST. TechBag resells Hiver. Hiver was founded by Indian entrepreneurs.3 A shared inbox tool reads every message in the mailboxes you connect, which makes it a processor of your customers’ and suppliers’ personal data under the DPDP Act; the Rules were notified on 13 November 2025, and the security-safeguard and breach-notice duties apply from 13 May 2027.4 Hiver’s pricing page lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR and HIPAA.1 It does not say where mailbox data is stored. Ask for the hosting region and the sub-processor list in writing before you connect the support@ inbox.
