Your desktops already run on Citrix. Your phones shouldn’t need a second vendor — Citrix Endpoint Management sets policy on iOS, Android and Windows devices and their work apps, from Citrix Cloud or your own servers, inside the Citrix subscription you may already hold.

This page covers Citrix Endpoint Management — the UEM, cloud and on-premises. The rest:
Most product pages skip this. We start here — so you buy a capability, not a buzzword.
One console that sets policy on phones, tablets and PCs, and on the work apps running on them.
What consolidation actually replaces, dimension by dimension.
| Dimension | Phones on a separate MDM contract | Citrix Endpoint Management |
|---|---|---|
| Contracts | A second vendor and a second renewal | Inside the Citrix subscription you already hold |
| Policy reach | Whatever the MDM’s tier happens to unlock | More than 300 policies, by Citrix’s count |
| Where it runs | The MDM vendor’s cloud, nowhere else | Citrix Cloud, or a server in your own data centre |
| Staff-owned phones | Full enrolment, or no control at all | Managed apps with micro VPN, or a work profile |
| Old Android devices | Device Administrator mode left running | Android Enterprise; DA deprecated in 26.8.0 |
| What it is NOT | — | A standalone SKU, a list price, or India-hosted |
The cheapest test is the entitlement you may already hold: if UHMC or the Citrix Platform licence covers your users, enrol one pilot group before buying anything new.
Vendors love diagrams; buyers need to know what they’re actually operating. Here’s the whole platform, demystified.
Citrix hosts the management service with a 99.9% uptime SLA; the tenant sits in the US, EU or Asia Pacific South region picked at sign-up, and that pick cannot be changed later.
The same product installed on servers you run, in your own data centre; your team applies each upgrade, and device records never leave the site unless you send them.
Over 300 policies, by Citrix’s count, cover iOS, Android and Windows; 26.8.0 added iOS 27 and Android 17, and Apple devices also take a growing set of declarative policies.
Managed apps carry their own policies and a per-app micro VPN, so personal phones need not be fully enrolled; Android without Device Administrator now runs as MAM only.
One UEM, two homes — a Citrix Cloud tenant with a 99.9% SLA, or the former XenMobile Server in your own data centre.
Citrix Endpoint Management controls devices and work apps from the same vendor as your Citrix desktops.
Citrix counts more than 300 policies, which is why it pitches the product where security and compliance come first.
iOS, Android and Windows devices sit in one console; release 26.8.0 brought support for iOS 27 and Android 17.
Take the hosted service with its 99.9% uptime SLA, or install the former XenMobile Server inside your own data centre.
Managed apps carry their own policies and a micro VPN, so staff phones can be covered without full device enrolment.
Android Enterprise work profiles split work apps and data from the personal side of a BYOD phone, which stays private.
With Device Administrator mode deprecated in 26.8.0, that platform is now labelled Android (Citrix MAM Only) in the console.
Passcode, Software Update Enforcement and Settings, Status Subscriptions, User Identity and Google Account; some are preview.
26.8.0 added a DDM-compatible App Settings policy that applies to supervised iPhones and iPads on iOS 27 and later.
The cloud service takes rolling updates about every three months, so new Apple and Google versions arrive on a known rhythm.

Citrix pitches Endpoint Management at organisations for whom security and compliance outrank everything else, and backs that with a library of more than 300 policies. You can run it as a hosted Citrix Cloud service with a 99.9% uptime SLA, or keep the whole thing on servers in your own data centre.
Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud includes Endpoint Management for as many users as you hold UHMC licences, and the Citrix Platform licence makes it unlimited. An estate that already runs Citrix DaaS on either may own the entitlement, with one vendor and one renewal covering desktops and devices.
Release 26.8.0 arrived on 10 September 2026 with iOS 27 and Android 17 support and a declarative App Settings policy for supervised iOS 27 devices. Citrix’s lifecycle matrix sets no end-of-support date for the cloud service, and updates land about every three months.
It is not sold on its own and has no list price. Apple declarative management spans six policy types, some still Technical Preview. Android Device Administrator mode is deprecated. Citrix Cloud names no India location, and TechBag found no current analyst placement to cite for it.
Pull your Citrix contract: UHMC caps managed users at its licence count, the Citrix Platform licence does not.
Pick the Citrix Cloud region once, or plan the on-prem server in an Indian data centre if records must stay here.
Bring in a mix of iPhones, Android Enterprise phones and Windows laptops, and map your policy list to Citrix’s.
Shift Device Administrator handsets to Android Enterprise or MAM-only management before the deprecation bites.
Extend to every user, then switch on the declarative Apple policies you need, testing preview items before use.

“Our UHMC renewal already covered every user, so moving branch phones off the old MDM was a migration project, not a purchase.”
“We mapped each line of our audit checklist to an existing policy. Nothing needed a custom script, which the auditors liked.”
“The Device Administrator deprecation finally forced the Android Enterprise move we had postponed for two budget cycles.”
“We host the server ourselves because the cloud service has no Indian location. Upgrades are on us, and we plan for them.”
“Declarative policies handle passcodes and updates for our iPhones, but two items were preview, so the old profiles stayed.”
“Beside Citrix desktops it earns its place. On its own, the quote was hard to defend against per-device tools we priced.”
Analyst firms bury this view behind paywalls, and G2 retired its Grid. So here’s TechBag’s synthesis of the UEM market — tap any vendor to see why it sits where it does.
Execution strength vs product vision — the classic market map, minus the paywall.
Only inside Citrix subscriptions; quoted per user.
The grid nobody publishes — how many places the management server and its records can live, India included, vs how deeply each OS is managed.
Cloud or on-prem; no India region; DDM partial.

Citrix Endpoint Management is one of 28 uem & mdm products TechBag carries. The UEM & MDM guide narrows them to a shortlist and shows the reasoning. →
Drag the sliders (managed devices; IT-admin hour cost). Estimates model admin time spent enrolling, configuring and chasing compliance on devices by hand at an assumed 1.5 hours per device a year, with 70% of it removed by policy-driven management. Both figures are assumptions. Illustrative.
Loaded cost = salary + overheads per productive hour. Illustrative only — your TechBag quote models your actual environment and modules.
Not published: Citrix sells Endpoint Management only inside a platform subscription — Universal Hybrid Multi-Cloud covers one managed user per UHMC licence, the Citrix Platform licence covers unlimited users — both quoted per user, with no INR list. Buyers have reported steep increases at renewal as Citrix moved customers onto platform subscriptions, so get the renewal quote in writing. TechBag checks what you already own, then quotes in INR with GST.

Which declarative policies do you need, and are any of them among the items still marked Technical Preview?
Will personal phones get app-level management with micro VPN, a work profile, or full enrolment?
Has Citrix put the renewal price in writing? Buyers report steep rises as customers moved to platform plans.
