Codeproof is 60–80% cheaper than 1 of 7 priced UEMs, not all of them

Codeproof’s published per-device price set against seven UEM and MDM list prices in TechBag’s guide, testing a 2024 claim of 60–80% savings, as of September 2026.

Codeproof’s Standard MDM costs US$24 a device a year, US$2 a month, and at that price it is 60% to 80% cheaper than exactly one of the seven rivals in TechBag’s guide with a recorded list price: Microsoft Intune, and only when each user has one device.123 An earlier version of this piece said Codeproof cut UEM cost by “60% to 80%”. Against the market as it stood in September 2026, the claim holds for a Microsoft shop paying for Intune separately and for no one else.

01What the claim needs, and what the prices show

A 60% saving means the rival costs 2.5 times Codeproof; an 80% saving means five times. So the test is simple: divide each published entry price by Codeproof’s US$2.

Only Intune lists at the 2.5 to 5 times Codeproof’s price that a 60–80% saving needs

02Where Codeproof does look cheap

The better case is the top tier. Codeproof Enterprise UEM, with Android Enterprise, zero-touch enrolment, unlimited apps and GPS tracking, is US$48 a device a year, US$4 a month.1 Hexnode’s Ultimate tier lists at US$4.70, 42Gears’ Premium at US$5.49 and Scalefusion’s Enterprise at US$6, so Codeproof is 15% to 33% cheaper at the top, a real saving but not the one claimed. ManageEngine’s on-premise UEM edition, at US$1.83, is cheaper still.2 Note what Standard leaves out: kiosk lock-down and app deployment are capped at five apps, and Android Enterprise appears only on the Enterprise card. Codeproof publishes no minimum and offers a 14-day trial of Enterprise. Our earlier note on five UEM price lists covers the tiers of the others in more detail.

Buying it in India. Codeproof is a Sunnyvale, California company and prices in US dollars;4 100 devices on annual Standard is US$2,400, about ₹1,99,200 at the guide’s indicative ₹83 to the dollar, plus 18% GST of ₹35,856, through a reseller. Neither its pricing nor its home page names a hosting region, while Scalefusion, 42Gears and ManageEngine in the same table are built in India and host here.2 That matters because Enterprise collects employees’ GPS location, which is personal data: the DPDP Rules, notified on 13 November 2025, bring security-safeguard and retention duties into force on 13 May 2027,5 and CERT-In’s Directions of 28 April 2022 require logs kept for 180 days within Indian jurisdiction.6 Ask Codeproof in writing where device data sits before you sign.
