Your SOPs say one thing, your systems record another, and the ERP project needs the truth. Guessing the as-is process is expensive — SAP Signavio mines how your processes really run from system data, models how they should run, and routes every change through approval before staff see it — five products, one SAP line.

This page covers SAP Signavio — all five Signavio products, from Process Intelligence to Process Collaboration Hub. The rest:
Most product pages skip this. We start here — so you buy a capability, not a buzzword.
It rebuilds how work really flows from system records, then sets it against how it should flow.
What consolidation actually replaces, dimension by dimension.
| Dimension | Workshops, slide decks, SOP folders | SAP Signavio |
|---|---|---|
| Knowing the real process | Workshops and what people remember | Paths rebuilt from system event data |
| Where the design lives | Slide decks and loose diagrams | One Process Manager repository |
| Approving a change | Email threads and a final PDF | A Process Governance review step |
| What staff can read | An SOP folder few can find | The approved model in the Collaboration Hub |
| Customer view | Separate CX slides | Journey maps linked to processes |
| What it is NOT | — | A workflow engine, or priced in public |
The cheapest test is a data check: export one process’s case IDs, activities and timestamps and see whether the event log is clean enough to mine.
Vendors love diagrams; buyers need to know what they’re actually operating. Here’s the whole platform, demystified.
Reads event data from the systems that run your processes and rebuilds the paths cases actually took, with the time spent on each step and the detours.
Process Manager holds the designed, to-be process models; Journey Modeler maps what customers or employees experience and ties those moments to the processes behind them.
Process Governance routes model changes through review and sign-off; Process Collaboration Hub publishes the approved versions where staff can read and comment on them.
SAP groups Signavio with LeanIX, its architecture tool; Gartner’s 2026 digital-twin Leader placement rests on the pair, and Joule features are licensed product by product.
Mine the as-is from event data, model the to-be — then approve it and publish it, all on SAP’s cloud.
SAP Signavio shows the process you actually run next to the one you designed, and governs the gap.
Event records with case IDs and timestamps become a map of real paths, so rework loops and slow hand-offs show up as data.
Paired with SAP LeanIX, process models sit next to the application landscape — the pairing Gartner rated for digital twins.
Teams draw the to-be process once, in one repository, instead of keeping versions in slide decks and drawing tools.
Journey maps record what a buyer or employee goes through and link each stage to the internal process that serves it.
A model edit goes through review and sign-off before it becomes the official process, leaving a record of who agreed.
The hub puts the current, approved process in front of the people who run it, so they can read it and leave feedback.

Teams often learn how a process runs in one tool and redraw it in another. Signavio keeps both jobs together: Process Intelligence shows the paths cases took, Process Manager holds the designed version, and Process Governance decides which version becomes official.
Signavio led Gartner’s Process Mining Platforms Magic Quadrant three years running, the last dated 21 April 2025. In May 2026 the first Process Intelligence Platforms MQ named it a Leader again. SAP calls that a fourth consecutive year; it is one run across two differently named reports.
SAP pairs Signavio with LeanIX for transformation management, and Gartner’s first Digital Twin of an Organization MQ (July 2026) named SAP a Leader on the two together. For a company moving to SAP Cloud ERP or Cloud ERP Private, it maps today’s processes before the redesign.
Nothing is priced in public: all five products are quoted, so the budget waits on SAP. SAP records no India hosting for Signavio, unlike its ERP, BTP, SuccessFactors and Ariba. It maps and measures processes but does not run them, and pays off most where SAP holds the transactions.
Choose processes with clear money at stake, such as purchase-to-pay or order-to-cash, and name an owner for each.
Confirm each source system can export case IDs, activities and timestamps, and agree with SAP which connectors the quote covers.
Load the data into Process Intelligence, check the paths against what owners expect, and list the loops and delays.
Redraw the fixed process in Process Manager and route it through Process Governance for sign-off by the owners.
Put the approved model in the Collaboration Hub, then re-mine monthly to see whether the new process actually holds.

“Mining our purchase-to-pay data showed a third of invoices looping back for re-approval. Nobody had drawn that loop.”
“We mapped the as-is before the ERP move and threw away half the custom steps our consultants had planned to rebuild.”
“Governance stopped the old habit of five versions of one SOP. Only the approved model reaches the hub now.”
“Journey maps finally linked customer complaints to the claim-handling steps behind them. That got the board’s attention.”
“Extracting clean event logs from our older, non-SAP billing system took longer than the analysis did. Plan for it.”
“Strong product, but five separate quotes made the budget hard to compare with a single-platform rival.”
Analyst firms bury this view behind paywalls, and G2 retired its Grid. So here’s TechBag’s synthesis of the process intelligence market — tap any vendor to see why it sits where it does.
Execution strength vs product vision — the classic market map, minus the paywall.
Quoted per product; a Gartner Leader across four straight years.
The grid nobody publishes — how much of the process lifecycle one product line covers vs how many places it can run and keep its data.

Drag the sliders (employees working in the processes you would mine; employee-hour cost). Estimates model time lost to rework loops, re-approvals and hunting for the current procedure at an assumed 1.5 hours per employee a year, with 70% of it removed once processes are mined, redesigned and published. Both figures are assumptions. Illustrative.
Loaded cost = salary + overheads per productive hour. Illustrative only — your TechBag quote models your actual environment and modules.
SAP publishes no price for any of the five Signavio products; each is quoted by SAP, and third-party figures are not SAP list prices. Joule features are licensed product by product, and a SAP LeanIX licence is separate. TechBag scopes the processes and products you need first, then itemises the quote in INR with GST.

Do you need all five products, or only Process Intelligence and Process Manager for a first phase?
Which two or three processes will you mine first, and who owns the result for each one?
Which systems hold the event data, and does SAP’s quote cover a connector for every non-SAP one?
How many cases and events a year will you load, and does the contract set a limit on either?
Where will SAP store your tenant’s data? Ask for the region in writing; India is not on record.
Is a move to SAP Cloud ERP or Cloud ERP Private planned, and will the partner use Signavio for it?
Will you add SAP LeanIX for the application map, and can both be priced on the same quote?
Is each product a separate line, with users, term and renewal terms, itemised in INR with GST?
Pick the two processes that cost you most, or let a TechBag advisor scope the Signavio products and data volume and get SAP’s quote itemised in INR.
