Quick answer

SOTI sells the SOTI ONE platform for rugged and frontline device fleets. MobiControl manages Android, Apple, Windows, Linux and ChromeOS devices in SOTI’s cloud or on your own servers; XSight adds diagnostics and remote support, Snap builds low-code mobile apps and Connect manages printers. It is subscription-only, and its one published price is a SOTI ONE bundle on AWS Marketplace at $119.88 a device a year. Read more ↓ Show less ↑
The portfolio

Four intel pages. Rugged and frontline device management, device diagnostics, low-code mobile apps and printer management.

SOTI’s line, licence by licence — every card is a full intel page, from MobiControl for rugged and mixed fleets to XSight diagnostics, Snap’s paper-to-app builder and Connect for printers.

SOTI ONE Platform

Platform & engine

The umbrella name for SOTI’s suite, which SOTI says “maximizes the ROI of your business-critical mobile devices and printers”. It is the frame for this hub rather than a product of its own; its AWS Marketplace bundle price is covered here and on the MobiControl page

SOTI Identity

Platform & engine

A login layer for SOTI’s own consoles: central sign-in, single sign-on into SOTI products, MFA by email code, Google Authenticator or Duo, and event logging. It is not a workforce identity provider, so it sits in no identity guide; SOTI Mobile SSO for shared devices is covered on the MobiControl page

SOTI Stella

Platform & engine

SOTI’s AI assistant, labelled beta and integrated within MobiControl and XSight. It shipped in MobiControl 2026.0 in November 2025. It is a feature of those two products, not a licence of its own, so it is covered on their pages

SOTI Pulse

Platform & engine

SOTI’s online community, with forums and a knowledge base, which also hosts the MobiControl release notes and product-lifecycle dates. It is not something a business buys, so it gets no page

The thesis

Why “built for the warehouse floor” is the whole story

Most device-management tools start from office laptops and phones. SOTI started in 1995 with handhelds, and MobiControlpatches Zebra and Samsung firmware, locks scanners into kiosks and hands shared phones from shift to shift, in SOTI’s cloud or on your own servers. For fleets of rugged devices and printers, that depth is the reason to shortlist it.

01
SOTI’s cloud or your own servers

SOTI ONE deployment

SOTI ONE supports two deployment types: a cloud service hosted on AWS and Azure under ISO/IEC 27001, or an on-prem install on your own servers.

02
Zero-touch for every OEM channel

Enrolment at scale

SOTI Stage, Apple Business Manager, Android Zero-Touch, Samsung KME, Windows Autopilot and Zebra StageNow, across COBO, COSU, COPE, CYOD and BYOD.

03
Patching the rugged hardware itself

OEM firmware control

Zebra FOTA pushes Android OS and LifeGuard patches across a Zebra fleet, Knox E-FOTA does the same for Samsung, and 2026.0 added BIOS management.

04
Content for low-bandwidth sites

XTreme Hub

SOTI’s XTreme technology for stores and warehouses on thin links, which SOTI says delivers data ten times faster; the Hub needs a Premium Plus or Enterprise Plus tier.

Start with the devices — scanners, phones, PCs or printers — then decide where the server runs and which service tier you need.

Track 02 · Buying guides

Buy it like you’ve done this before

The procurement playbook TechBag runs with IT buyers — steps, licensing cheat-sheet, and the pitfalls that cost quarters.

01

Count devices by type

SOTI licenses per device, so tally scanners, phones, tablets, PCs and printers separately; printers belong to Connect, not MobiControl.

02

Choose cloud or on-prem

SOTI’s cloud runs on AWS and Azure with no India region documented. If device data must stay in India, price an on-prem server instead.

03

Pick the service tier

Premium Service covers deployments up to 1,000 devices and Enterprise Service 1,001 and above; XTreme Hub and SOTI VPN need a Plus tier.

04

Decide on XSight and Snap

The AWS bundle includes both at $119.88 a device a year. If the fleet needs neither, ask for MobiControl alone and compare the quotes.

05

Retire old versions

Perpetual licences reached end of sale in September 2024 and MobiControl 2024 reached end of life on 31 March 2026. Plan the move to 2026.x.

06

Get it priced in rupees

SOTI lists no INR price, and its only public figure is in USD on AWS. TechBag scopes devices, tier and deployment and quotes the total in INR with GST.

The licensing cheat-sheet

SOTI SnapIts own licence line in the SOTI ONE bundle · no standalone price publishedQuotePaper-to-app workflows
SOTI ConnectSeparate licence for printers · resellers list it per printer, cloud or on-premQuotePrinter fleets

SOTI licenses per device by subscription, cloud or on-prem, in five service tiers, and publishes no price on soti.net. Its one list price is the SOTI ONE bundle on AWS Marketplace: $119.88 a device for 12 months (about $9.99 a month) for MobiControl, XSight, Snap and Premium or Enterprise Service. TechBag quotes the total in INR with GST.

Five pitfalls that cost buyers quarters

1

Reading the bundle as MobiControl’s price

The $119.88 AWS figure buys MobiControl, XSight, Snap and service together. MobiControl alone is quoted separately, so ask for both figures.

2

Expecting an India cloud region

SOTI documents no India region for its AWS and Azure cloud. If DPDP or a sector rule needs in-country data, run MobiControl on-prem.

3

Buying XSight for an iPhone fleet

XSight’s operational intelligence, alerting and live support cover Android and Windows. Apple-heavy fleets get little from the analytics.

4

Managing printers in MobiControl

Per SOTI partner notices, Zebra printer management left MobiControl on 1 February 2025. Budget a Connect licence for the printer fleet.

5

Staying on a retired version

MobiControl 2024 reached end of life on 31 March 2026 and v15 on 1 September 2025. SOTI still supports them only with an active contract.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask about SOTI

TechBag reviews four separately licensed SOTI products, each on its own page: MobiControl, XSight, Snap and Connect. SOTI ONE is the umbrella, Identity is a login layer for SOTI’s consoles, Stella is a beta AI feature and Pulse is a community, so they are noted here. SOTI Aerospace is a drone and robotics R&D division.

Ready to shortlist SOTI?

Open any of the four intel pages for the deep dive, or let a TechBag advisor build the case with you — the device mix to license, cloud or on-prem, the service tier and whether the SOTI ONE bundle beats MobiControl alone, quotes, trials, GST invoicing and lifecycle support included.
